The best I can describe my time at the University of Washington is as a journey of exploration. My direction evolved from one path to the next after experiences and courses began to build my personal resume of what I found important and inspirational. With every quarter came intentional decisions on where and how I would spend my time in order to further narrow my course of study and better understand myself personally. I entered the UW with no definitive direction; my perspective was open to college presenting the opportunity to explore every interest, in which I would trust my reflection and draw my personal and educational paths.
My path was not one without disappointment or confusion, but within my experiences morphed an exponential presence of enlightenment and excitement. This portfolio is an attempt at presenting this exploration and the thought process that resulted, bringing me to where I am today. Highlighting influential courses and experiences, I hope to give those reading a peek into what I find inspirational and enjoyable, as well as how I approach challenge.
My time at the University of Washington was great but did not come without challenge. I hope to portray the genuine truth of my UW experience and my thoughts progressing forward to those who wish to listen.

As of June 2020, I have graduated Cum Laude from the University of Washington with Interdisciplinary Honors and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Health - Global Health with a minor in Diversity. I am currently working as a Data Analyst at the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation on the Global Burden of Disease Study under the Demographics team. My career path, however, is not set in stone. My experiences are a constant exploration which morph my outlook on life and the possibilities available. I am currently working in health data, but I am particularly passionate about addressing social, racial, and environmental inequity and justice, and how it pertains to public health and health disparity. These topics can be combined to address health equity through race-centered data science and policy making. As of now, this is the direction I hope to take my career.
